Photo Scanning

Here are some tips for scanning and e-mailing images

Scanning - I know how to use a scanner

  • Preview your scanner settings before finalizing the scanning process.

  • In the preview window, select just the photo (no white showing around the photo).

  • Choose the color photo setting (even for black and white photos).

  • Turn all enhancements off.

  • Set resolution quality to high photo quality, 300 or 600 DPI.

  • Remember, the higher the resolution, the higher the image quality will be.

  • Save the image as a jpeg file, with the highest quality setting under "image options" in the jpeg pop-up window.

  • Look at original photograph to be sure you've gotten the best quality image possible for that photo.

  • Email photos to info@photoslimming.com (10 MB maximum per file).

Scanning - I'm not too comfortable using a scanner (or don't have a scanner)

Can not scan your photos? No problem!
1-Almost all photo developing shops (like FedEx Kinko's), and internet cafes, will be able to scan your photo for you, and give it to you on a disk, or perhaps even email it to us on your behalf. Just make sure you ask them to scan it as a high ‘resolution’ JPG (minimum 300dpi).

2- We recommend an online service to scan them for you.
It will cost you only $1 per photo.
Please explore
http://www.photoscan4u.com/

They will scan and email it back to your email address same day and your original picture will be mailed back to you.

Then just forward the scanned photos to our email address info@photoslimming.com
